Translation is about more than converting words—it’s about conveying meaning, dignity, and access. At HRCTV, our translation team works tirelessly to ensure essential information reaches every corner of our community. Whether it’s a legal notice, a public health alert, or a nonprofit service brochure, accurate translation ensures people can make informed decisions.
In the last year, we’ve translated over 250 documents for local governments, schools, nonprofits, and healthcare providers. These materials have included everything from COVID-19 vaccine notices to school enrollment guides and town hall flyers. Each project is carefully reviewed for clarity, cultural context, and accessibility—especially when serving residents with different reading levels or dialects.
Our impact is multiplied when translation is combined with outreach. For instance, a translated flyer about legal aid services led to a record turnout at our recent immigration forum. Another project involved translating and distributing emergency preparedness guides across three counties, ensuring families were informed and equipped.
Translation is invisible work, but its effects are transformative. We’re committed to continuing this vital service and training new community translators through our certification programs. Every translated word is a step toward equity, safety, and inclusion for all.
