The Board of Directors of the Hispanic Resource Center of Teton Valley is proud to share a special milestone in our organization’s story.
HRC was founded by Juanita Flores in 2014, with support from the Latino Resource Center in Jackson Hole, now One22. What began as a vision to create connection, opportunity, and support for the Latino community has grown into an organization serving families throughout Teton Valley.
From the beginning, HRC has run on the passion and dedication of volunteers, people who show up again and again because they believe in this community and take pride in its culture. That volunteer spirit is the heart of this organization, and it’s carried HRC through every stage of its growth. No one embodies that more than Gabriela Hermosillo, Juanita’s sister, who has been by her side since day one. As a client specialist, Folklórico program director, and endlessly dedicated volunteer, Gabriela has poured her heart into HRC’s client services and continues to be a driving force behind the programs our community relies on.
Today, that story comes full circle.
Thanks to the incredible support of the Tin Cup Challenge and generous community donors, HRC is proud to announce the hiring of our first Executive Director: Andrea Flores Arens.
Andrea is Juanita’s daughter, and she grew up alongside HRC’s mission long before she led it. Today she carries that mission forward not as an outsider stepping in, but as family stepping up.
She brings a rare combination of leadership, advocacy, community relationships, organizational experience, and creativity, paired with a deep passion for connecting people to resources and opportunity. Time and again, she’s shown her ability to build relationships, bring people together, listen to what the community needs, and turn that into action.
Her path to this role also includes five years with Friends of the Teton River, where she grew as a nonprofit professional and leader. We are grateful for the experience and relationships she carries with her into this new role, and for FTR’s support as she makes this transition.
As a Board, we’re excited to support her as she helps lead HRC into its next chapter.
We’re deeply grateful to the Tin Cup Challenge, our donors, volunteers, partners, and the entire Teton Valley community who have believed in HRC and helped make this milestone possible.
From one generation to the next, the vision continues. This truly is a full-circle moment for HRC.
