Emergency Preparedness: Rapid Response in Action

Emergency Preparedness: Rapid Response in Action

For immigrant families, emergencies such as arrests, detentions, or sudden legal action can be terrifying and disorienting. That’s why HRCTV developed a Rapid Response Support system to help families prepare for and navigate these challenges with dignity and knowledge.

Through this program, we offer “Know Your Rights” trainings, assist with family emergency planning (including guardianship documentation for children), and connect individuals with trusted legal support. We’ve helped dozens of families create safety plans that can be implemented immediately if needed, helping reduce panic and increase preparedness.

In 2024, our team responded to over 15 urgent requests for support related to immigration enforcement, detention, or fear of deportation. We’ve provided interpretation during legal consultations, helped secure temporary housing, and guided family members through difficult transitions with compassion and confidentiality.

We believe that no one should face crisis alone. With Rapid Response Support, we stand with families when they need it most—offering calm, connection, and a path forward in times of uncertainty.
