Housing Help: Stories of Hope and Stability

Housing Help: Stories of Hope and Stability

Affordable, stable housing is a critical need across the Teton Valley region. At HRCTV, we provide hands-on assistance to individuals and families facing housing challenges—from helping them understand their rights as tenants to connecting them with rental opportunities, financial aid, and legal resources.

This year alone, we’ve helped more than 75 families find or maintain safe housing. One of those families is the Torres family, who faced an unexpected rent increase and eviction notice. Our team guided them through tenant protection resources, helped them apply for emergency aid, and successfully secured a new rental within weeks. Their two children are now enrolled in the same school, and the family is regaining their financial footing.

HRCTV works closely with local landlords, housing coalitions, and government partners to increase awareness of available units and rental assistance programs. We also help families complete applications, prepare documentation, and advocate on their behalf when needed. In areas with limited housing stock, this personalized approach can make all the difference.

Through this work, we aim to do more than find shelter—we want to help our neighbors achieve housing security, financial stability, and dignity. Everyone deserves a place to call home, and we’re here to help make that happen.
