Each year, communities throughout Mexico gather to remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones who have passed away. Here in Teton Valley, HRCTV is proud to continue that tradition by hosting our annual Día de los Muertos Festival on October 31 at the Teton County Fairgrounds.
Far from being a solemn occasion, Día de los Muertos is a joyful celebration of remembrance, family, culture, and community. Visitors will enjoy delicious food, local vendors, children’s activities, live entertainment, and educational displays that share the history and meaning behind this beautiful tradition.
One of the evening’s highlights will once again be the Catrina Contest, featuring stunning costumes and makeup inspired by José Guadalupe Posada’s iconic artwork. Guests will also enjoy performances by the Herencia Hispana Folklórico Dance Group and live music throughout the event.
